One Louder

The BBC’s Iplayer is really good and great for catching shows you might have missed but I don’t understand why the volume goes up to eleven. I mean why not make ten louder and that be the top number?

If you don't understand why it goes up to 11 Dan, then there is no hope for you. We interviewed one of your Cornish "rivals" yesterday ...

All Cornish people are friends, no rivalries here, or there.

As to why it goes to 11, I'm stumped, and therefore hopeless, but I've suspected this for sometime.
